In late 2019 I worked in India as the Supervising Art Director, on a production ( later failed ) of Shantaram.
We were based in Bhopal, Northern India, where I was responsible for overseeing the build of a 1978 period ' slum ' set, which needed a look that was suitable to inter-cut with present day footage of scenes filmed in other areas of Mumbai, such as Dharavi and Cuff Parade.
During my 6 months stay we also built, dressed and shot in many other locations in and around Bhopal, Mumbai and the city of Indore.
